Method
We always start with an intake interview, both with coaching and with therapy. We use the intake interview to determine if we feel that the collaboration could be succesful. It is an intake from two sides. For you it is very important to discover whether you allow me in, whether you feel safe with me.
After the intake we typically schedule 5 sessions and then we do a new evaluation to see where we are.
I work from a body-oriented approach. Our head is often the source of limitations, we think or ponder in circles and do not come out of that. Hence the focus on the body, on energy, on movement or on immobility. Our body tells a lot. In sessions we investigate unconscious resistance, the masks we have as humans, and we use body awareness as one of the entrances.
I work with conversation, exercises, touch, constellations, visualizations and everything that presents itself is a session.
Coaching will be more focused on practical and sometimes current issues. In therapy, we generally dig deeper and the previously mentioned unconscious and obstructive patterns are an important point of attention.
You decide what you want to work on and want to research, I support you and I am there for you while you do the work.
Core Energetics
Core Energetics is a body-oriented therapy aimed at personal development and transformation. It is a holistic approach, that is, we look at the whole person (body, mind and spirit) and Core Energetics is a way to get in touch with yourself, especially when you are mainly in your head.
Core Energetics is what I work from but I also use other methods and techniques. Core Energetics originated in the 60s of the last century and was developed by Dr. John Pierrakos, an American psychiatrist.
